Nitrolingual®, an oral spray with nitroglycerin as an active substance, is used in treatment of temporary angina (angina pectoris) and prevention of angina caused by exertion, eg physical exertion or any other condition that may have previously caused angina. Nitroglycerin is rapidly absorbed by the blood through the oral mucosa and the effect occurs rapidly.
