Furberg has 35 years of experience from Medtech, Pharma and Biotech industry in sales, marketing, strategy and general management. She  was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager for Sanofi Genzyme Rare Diseases in EMEA. Before that she was General Manager Nordic and Benelux for Baxter. Today she sits on several boards and is an advisor and a consultant.

Furberg holds a Cand. Scient in Chemistry from the University of Oslo.
