In Good Company
In Good Company* (I Gott Sällskap) is a program providing support and motivation for people living with PKU themselves and for parents/guardians for children with the disease.
In Good Company has been developed as a support and motivational program for people living with PKU (phenylketonuria) and their relatives. The purpose of the program is to offer tips and inspiration for diet and everyday life, but also new information about the disease and it’s treatment.
Phenylketonuria, also called “Fölling’s disease”, is an inherited, autosomal recessive metabolic disease, which is due to that amino acid phenylalanine cannot be converted to the amino acid tyrosine.
In good company is an initiative from Navamedic in collaboration with Vitaflo and health care providers. Navamedic focus on a number of different disease areas of which medical nutrition and congenital metabolic diseases is one. Navamedic is also Nordic distributor for Vitaflo, a company with over 30 years of experience in developing and produce protein substitutes and low protein products for people with PKU and other congenital metabolic diseases.
